Screen Snap, a browser extension published by D2i Technology.
What Screen Snap does
Screen Snap captures screenshots, records a screen, window, or tab, and lets you annotate still images. D2i Technology publishes the extension.
Data we collect
Screen Snap does not collect personal information. It does not create an account, does not send analytics, and does not upload screenshots, recordings, or microphone audio to D2i Technology or any other server.
Data that stays on your device
- Screenshots and recordings are saved to your computer only when you choose Save, Copy, or Stop.
- Options (brand strip, microphone default, color, and stroke width) are stored in the extension’s local storage on your device.
- A recent screenshot may be kept in the extension’s local IndexedDB so the editor can reopen it. That data does not leave the browser profile.
Permissions you grant in Chrome
Chrome asks before Screen Snap can see a screen, window, or tab, and again before it can use the microphone. You can cancel either prompt. Sharing ends when you stop the recording or click Chrome’s Stop sharing control.
